Post-procedural Instructions
Please make sure you read these instructions and strictly follow them to avoid infection, scarring, and color fading.
– Avoid touching the applied area. Wash hands with antibacterial soap before bringing them to contact with applied area.
– An hour after the procedure, wipe the treated area with provided Aftercare Wipes. Gently blot dry with soft tissue. Apply a very thin layer of Aftercare Balm using a clean Q-tip. Avoid using too much product since it will suffocate the area leading to infection.
– Avoid wetting the applied area on the first day. After that, clean the area twice a day with distilled or cool boiled water. Gently blot dry with soft tissue. Keep applying Aftercare Balm 4-5 times a day using a clean Q-tip.
– No exercising for the first week.
– With lip blush procedure, avoid touching your lips with salty, spicy, and hot food or beverages. After eating, please make sure to clean your lips with water and blot dry and apply aftercare balm or lip balm of your choice.
– No make-up, tinting of lashes or brows, sun bathing, tanning, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming, getting in contact with animals, or gardening for 10 days after the procedure.
– Important: no rubbing, scratching, or traumatizing the applied area. Absolutely no picking scabs from the healing area. It is very tempting but will result in scarring and color disappearing.
– Avoid exposing the applied area to the sun. Must wear a hat when being outdoors during the day. Broad spectrum sunscreen can be used on the applied area after 10 days from procedure when being outside.
– The use of AHA skincare products (Glycolic and Lactic Acids for example) will result in early color fading.
Please feel free to contact The Brow Bar by Hien if you have any questions or concerns.
General Healing Expectation:
- The color will appear softer once your eyes/lips are completely healed. It is normal to lose approximately 1/3 of the color during the healing process.
- Complete healing takes 30 days.
- Your Perfecting Session (after 4-8 weeks) will complete your look adding more color where needed.
- Natural exfoliation will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eye/lips procedure to flake away.
Stages of Healing Process:
First week: Yay! You have your eyes/lips done and you love it at first. Couple days later you will think it appears too bold and dark for your liking.
Second week: Scabbing and peeling starts. It will appear lumpy, patchy, and even flaky. Color may disappear after flaking. It may look like you haven’t had your eyes/lips done at all. Please stay tuned and don’t freak out.
Third week: Pigment is starting to develop under your healing eyes/lips.
Four week: Pigment will improve to its true color. By the end of 4th week, your eyes/lips are certainly healed. You will love them again!
